Spring skiing is in full swing. The days are warming up and soon we will be skiing in t-shirts. Chair 1 (Broadway Express) out of Main Lodge has been shut down so construction can start on a new 6-pack chair to replace the existing 4-pack.
Last Tuesday was the first day of Spring but Winter isn't done yet. The Mammoth snow report shows that we've received over 8” of fresh snow in the last couple of days. It is snowing as I type this!

What a difference a week makes. This time last week the worst storm I have experienced in the sixteen years I have lived here was baring down on the Sierra. We go about 3-4 feet of snow and 100 feet of wind.
Bluesapalooza 2023 has arrived in Mammoth Lakes! This exciting event combines the magic of blues music with the craft beer scene. With over 80 craft breweries and 30 incredible blues musicians, it's an unmissable experience. Whether you're a fan of blues or just looking for a great time, Bluesapalooza offers a unique blend of music, beer, and the stunning Mammoth scenery.
I know I keep saying this, but summer really is my favorite time of year in Mammoth Lakes and the Eastern Sierra. This summer feels more special. I think that is because it feels like we fought for it. This past winter, the biggest on record, felt like it would never end… and it still hasn’t, at least on Mammoth Mountain.
Mammoth has officially set a new snowfall record, with over 700 inches this season, surpassing the previous 668-inch record from 2010-11. Spring has arrived with rising temperatures, melting snow, and vibrant flowers. The ski season extends to the end of July, making it a fantastic opportunity for pass holders. Explore upcoming events, from family fun to culinary delights, and check out our featured condo and house listings as inventory is expected to increase with the melting snow.
An eventful week in Mammoth - from swimming in the pristine June Lake to conquering the Ezakimak race to the Mountain's peak. The local Art Fair delighted with talented artists, both local and visiting. Notable was the metal booth, drawing admiration. Enjoy scenic snapshots of our hikes, a flourishing sunflower by the condo, and morning encounters with deer. Plus, don't miss Bob Kent's photography workshop this fall - an excellent excuse for a Mammoth visit.
