I know I keep saying this, but summer really is my favorite time of year in Mammoth Lakes and the Eastern Sierra. This summer feels more special. I think that is because it feels like we fought for it. This past winter, the biggest on record, felt like it would never end… and it still hasn’t, at least on Mammoth Mountain.

Campground conditions in the Bridgeport District of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest vary. Several sites remain closed due to flooding, road erosion, or severe damage. Others are open for visitors, while some have scheduled opening dates. The status of the Mammoth Lakes Basin campgrounds is pending snow clearance, with a goal to open by the 4th of July.
